wordless wednesday: lemonade stand

 

typepad to the rescue, or, you CAN go home again

 

when i announced a few weeks ago that i would be moving my blog to another service, i posted a little note here about how much i have loved blogging with typepad, and i made sure to let them know personally how sad i was to leave.

and something wonderful happened:  typepad arranged a means for me to stay.

i was actually torn about this--on the one hand i was thrilled that they valued me as a client, and on the other hand i worried that my readers would think i was flakey and unreliable or "weird".

but in the end, i decided i would stay.  if people think i'm flaky or weird, well, i can live with that.  i want to send out a huge thank you to typepad, esp. to jen who contacted me to make the offer.  if you are thinking about starting a blog, or have one that you would like to move, i strongly recommend you consider typepad--you will not be disappointed.  (and no, that was not a paid advertisement--that should be considered a love note).

so, dear readers, i'm back home!  everything is more or less where i left it (with the exception of a couple of lists that i think i misplaced when i put up the new theme), and i am ready to pick up where i left off.

which for us was easter.  ella's favorite gift that the easter bunny left was her "fly swapper", with which she "swapped" imaginary flies all day--the fly swapper is the thing with a big pink flower on it.  but rudi's favorite thing the easter bunny left was the wind-up bunny that does back flips (wind up toys are a family tradition, dating back all the way to 1994 when rudi and i got married). 

 

ella had been feverish off and on for almost a week, so she wasn't very perky most of the day, but she continued to be adorable thru it all.

it's been so nice here at typepad.  the ease of use, the rich features, the total control over the look and feel of my blog--the typepad service can't be beat.  the technical support is fantastic--quick, kind, and always cheerful.  typepad has everything a blogger needs.  which makes it very hard for me to say goodbye.  i've been here almost five years and have been a satisfied client the whole time.   i go much against my will.

thank you, typepad.  i will miss you.

this blog will stay active for another month, to allow everybody time to find my new "home", but in the meantime, i invite you, dear readers, to meet me at my new blogs, where i hope we'll continue to enjoy each other's company!
